Simple Nursery Closet Organization Ideas
Sharing 3 simple nursery closet organizing ideas for you to implement in your own nursery, baby space or kids room.
Invest in matching child size hangers
The right sized hangers will go a long way in making your nursery closet feel organized. I love these baby velvet hangers for my nursery closet. I’ve also used these wooden hangers in previous nursing organizing projects and found they work well too! Having matching hangers and ones that are made for baby clothes will last well into their childhood years and make hanging clothes and staying organized easier. And for an added thrill, put your baby’s clothes in rainbow 🌈order.
2. Let a shoe rack do double duty as a shoe shelf and toy storage spot
Containment for shoes is key and if you are like me and have more than one kid, then there is always a line of shoes in the waiting for baby. I love that this simple and affordable (under $20) piece doubles as a place to store shoes and toys. Baby easily reach nursery toys and shoes are nice and neat on the shelf (with room to grow!).
3. Designate an open bin for clothes that are too small/outgrown
This is a game changer. I was so surprised by how fast Tommy (my firstborn) outgrew clothes (see his nursery here). Having a place where I could toss the onesie that fit one day and not the next was key. No, this isn’t their final resting place but who has time to get the big bin out of the attic in between diaper changes? 😅 Not me! Once the closet bin is full, inspect all the items, wash if necessary and put them in a larger bin for storage until next baby.
